Trip to Michigan

While at the MTC, it was suggested that if possible missionaries should not travel on Sunday, so we decided to start our journey to Michigan tomorrow morning. It has been nice to have a few more days to organize the things we are taking with us but hard to not go immediately after our MTC experience. We plan to arrive in Kalamazoo Thursday afternoon and leave one car at our apartment and then travel to Lansing to have dinner with the mission president and stay over night at the mission home. Friday morning two elders will drive a car with a trailer behind holding the furniture that we will be using in our apartment to Kalamazoo. They will help us move the things into our apartment and then drive back to Lansing. It will be great to have their help. Our new address is 304 Candlewyck Dr. Apt 1417 Kalamazoo, MI 49001

Bear Lake

We went to Bear Lake last weekend for four days. We had a great time there. The kids loved playing on the beach and in the water. I am also including a picture of Rex & Alivia's new fish. Rex named his Pickle (Pitle) and Livi named hers Pizza.

Devotional

Hi, we had a wonderful Tuesday devotional at the MTC. Elder L. Tom Perry spoke to us. As he entered the room all the missionaries stood up. We were singing some prelude hymns and as he entered we were singing "I Believe in Christ". It is hard to explain the spiritual feeling that filled our hearts. Elder Perrry also asked a young missionary to join him on the stand. He put his arm around this young Elder and looked him straight in the eyes and told him the things to do to be a great missionary. Elder Perry then bore a strong testimony of Christ to him. What a testimony for the Elder and an unbelievable story to write home about! At the end, Elder and Sister Perry walked down the stage and all 2,600 missionaries started singing "Happy Birthday" to him. Elder Perry responded in his strong, loud voice, "When you turn 85, you deserve a birthday wish like that!"

Way to go Elder and Sister Schill

It was so fun to listen to your video and to see how much you've grown already. You are both doing such a great job. Your hardest experiences will become your best ones!

Love, Beck
