Having Soda Floats with the Branch

We spoke at the seminary graduation for the Kalamazoo Stake on Sunday and
had soda floats afterwards. We had plenty of ice cream and pop left over afterward
so have been having a great time at institute trying to finish up what we had left
over. We are having a birthday party tonight for all people born in June and guess
what the refreshments are :)? We said goodbye to our mission president and wife
at our final Zone Conference held last Wednesday, and are now in the process of dividing out our apartment furnishings to the elders in the city, since they aren't sending a couple to replace us. At least, they aren't doing it until all of the furniture is gone! :( Then, if someone comes in the future, they will have to gather it back up again. However, they told us that much of it goes to Goodwill Industries, since there is
no place to store it. It won't be long and our mission in Michigan will be history but filled with tons of wonderful memories and hearts that have been touched :).

Branch Talent Night at KUB

"Little Shorty" has his performance day at the branch talent night amid roars of laughs
and fears from many that his shaving was for real and cuts would occur. Lindsey performs
a tap dance for branch members. It was a fun night with many talent acts and a joyous time
for all.

Pictures from Kruger NP, South Africa

After visiting Madagascar, Brinnan and I spent four days traveling through the southern part of Kruger National Park in South Africa near the Mozambique border. It was an amazing experience that I highly recommend to anyone! The highlights of the trip were seeing two pride of lions, a crocodile take down a wildebeest at a water hole, and a pack of wild dogs (quite a rarity since there are only 300 left in the park). Here's a link to some of the pictures http://picasaweb.google.com/jhschill/KrugerNationalPark

Deborah Ann Frantz Schill Teaching Award 2008: Lynette Lish

Mike was able to present this year's Deborah Ann Frantz Schill Teaching Award at Lehi Elemenary on Wednesday, May 28 to Lynette Lish, who has been teaching for 24 years. What a treat to see all the students rise to an extended standing ovation with the annoucnement of the award. Mike met with the principal and she is working to set up an evaluation system to make the selection of the winner more transperant such that the award will continue to inspire and motivate all of the teachers at LES. Thanks for making it happen.
