Mother's Day - May 12, 2013

The mothers were not allowed in the kitchen. Tennyson washed the dishes and Noah made the cake.

Ang and I got the royal treatment!

I received a beautiful necklace that will be perfect to wear for Court's wedding.

The boys made us a delicious Mother's Day cake.

Ryan forgot about the meat in the oven so it got a bit over cooked but we still enjoyed eating it. He also had some meat in the crock pot for  a back-up.  Ry made us a wonderful meal and we appreciated all his time and effort in fixing dinner for us.

You can tell by these photos that we had a fun evening!

Brinnan played a beautiful piece"The Girl with the Flaxen Hair" by Debussy. After the recital, there was a drawing for prizes and Brinnan's name was picked out of the bag and she won 20 dollars to spend at the music store!

Campbelle has attended a music class this past year and I got to go to her Red Balloons and Blue Bugs recital. Campbelle did a great job on her speaking part. I tried to take out the red in her eyes so that is why they look a bit weird.

The children sang a lot of fun songs.

Everyone received a certificate for completing the class.

I visited the Frantz family. Dave's parents were there so it was wonderful to see them. Dave's sister, Laura was getting married on Saturday.

It was fun to spend some time with Brian. 
   
I also was able to go to Salt Lake City and spend some time with Reed and Kay at their home and then Kay went with me to visit Doug and Karen.  While we were at their home Amy dropped by with her children.  It had been a long time since I had seen her so it was wonderful to visit and meet her cute children for the first time. After saying our good-byes, Kay and I went to see Ellen and Rowland. It was great to spend the day with my sisters and brothers. Sorry I didn't take any photos.

It was great to be able to have lunch with Lynnie and Lars.

"Celebrating May Day"  Campbelle made some flowers for her friends and they brought her a beautiful bouquet.

We had fun playing Campbelle's favorite game, Find Me.

Teej's Cub Scout Regatta April 2013

Tennyson 's baseball game ran late so he didn't have a chance to change into his scout uniform.

Tennyson did a great job of making and designing his boat.

Teej reaches the finish line first.

Everyone gets a chance to race.  Bella really know hows to blow the boat a long the rain gutter.

Noah also had success with moving the boat towards the finish line.

Teej and Noah talked us into racing!

Bonfire on Del Monte Beach-Hotdogs and Woofums! February 2013

We love to go to the Del Monte beach close to our home and roast hotdogs.

The lights of Fisherman's Wharf and Pacific Grove were beautiful.

Rob and Missy introduced Woofums to Ry's family in December when they came to Monterey. Woofums have replaced s'mores for our  dessert.

You start by spreading a piece of dough over a wooden dowel.

Then you bake it in the coals until golden brown.

When the cup is baked, you fill it with chocolate or vanilla pudding and top with whip cream.

By putting it all into your mouth, you woofum.

I didn't quite woofum.
