4th of July Celebration

After the parade we gathered at Magleby's to have a delicious breakfast/lunch.

We spent the afternoon at Payson Lake canoeing, swimming and fishing. Mick did an amazing hand stand on the bar of our unstable canoe!

Mick's roommate and Hunter's friend joined us at Payson Lake.

It looks like Jeff is trying to turn the canoe over!

Mick took care of Jackson while Jeff and Ashley took Jamisen fishing.

They have high hopes of catching some big trout.
Success!

Jamisen had fun showing off his catch.

Jamisen loved dragging his fish back and forth in the water.

Cambelle caught some of these fish too.
We always have fun at Payson Lake.
Everyone enjoyed a delicious barbecue dinner at Steve's and Jen's home.

Jackson is a party boy too.

The grandchildren had fun jumping on the trampoline.

Jamisen and Campbelle waiting for the fireworks to start.

Tennyson, Noah and Grace had fun lighting the fireworks.

Our fireworks were exciting to watch but Steve's neighbor had huge ones that exploded up above the houses making ours seen quite small in comparison.

Sparklers always are a hit with the children.

Isabella's Baptism July 5, 2013

We were all grateful that Steve was able to arrange for Bella to be baptized in his stake building so a lot of family members could attend this special event while they were in Utah for Courtney's wedding.

Bella was very happy to be baptized by her dad and become a member of Christ's church.

Bella has a special bond with her grandpa.
It was wonderful to have so many family members at Bella's baptism.
The building was reserved for setting up a wedding so we had some delicious refreshments in the hall.

Courtney takes out her endowments at the Draper Temple July 3, 2013

It was a wonderful experience to be with Court as she went through the temple.  It is the first time I had been in the Draper temple and it was great to see the beautiful interior.

Afterwards we went to a  favorite restaurant  of Shirley and Lanny and enjoyed a delicious lunch.

Noah's Birthday July 2, 2013

Noah went to a climbing wall with his family to celebrate his birthday.  He learned to climb while he was at scout camp and really enjoyed it.

Noah's dad made this great boot cake for him.  Everyone was excited to see so much candy on it.
Teej loves climbing too.

Bella is not sure if she likes climbing the steep walls.

Ry and Ang keep the children safe by being their belayers.

Noah received 13 dollars to match his age.

Noah is teaching himself Japanese so this dictionary will come in handy.

Noah loves to fly kites so his grandpa Crapo gave him a four string kite! It will be exciting to learn how to fly this one.
There were trick candle on his cake that kept relighting so Noah had to work really hard to finally blow them out.
We all had fun being at Noah's party.

Trip to San Diego

Noah and Teej were excited to travel to San Diego.

It took for ever to get to our campground in San Diego because of the LA traffic!

We finally made it to the campground.

It didn't take long for Teej and Noah to put up the tent even in the dark.

All ready for bed

While waiting for grandpa to wake up, we had a fun game of Risk.

A cute cotton-tail rabbit visited us.

Everyone was excited to have Wienerschnitzel Chili Hot dogs for lunch.

To make sure we eat healthy, I cut up some peaches to add to our lunch.

The dogs tasted delicious!

Noah, Grandpa and Teej are all ready to go deep sea fishing

The gulls stealing our live bait.

It was fun to catch a fish even though it was too small and I had to throw it back into the ocean.

Teej was thrilled to catch this colorful rock fish.

Grandpa relaxing and enjoying the ocean.

Noah landed a Bass.

Teej was an expert at baiting his hook with live bait.

We had a fun afternoon of fishing.
We had a delicious breakfast at IHOP before going to Old Town San Diego.
