Temple Trip September 8, 2007

Here are the photos that we took when we went to the Chicago Temple. I hate to post them because then I'll bump all those terrific photos that were just posted to the bottom of the page. If you haven't seen them yet be sure and look at the get together photo for Jen's birthday, the Ft. Bridger photos and Mick and Lynnie at BYU. We had a wonderful time going to the temple. We car pooled up to Chicago. It took us about 4 hours because of an accident but we still made it in time to do baptisms for the dead. The KUB (Kalamazoo University Branch) go to the temple four times a year to do baptisms. Pres. Johnson really thinks it is important for the new members to have this experience. Pres. Johnson called our mission president to asked if we could go with them. The rule is that we can't go out of our mission area. Pres. Edwards called Salt Lake and got permission from Elder Tingy so we were able to go to the temple. It was a great experience seeing the members being baptized and confirmed for the dead. They really seemed to appreciate this opportunity. Dad was one of the witnesses for the baptisms. After we went to eat at a pizza place and didn't get back to Kalamazoo until 1:30 AM!
