A few days before the 6th of August, Jen's family came to Orem and brought a huge birthday cake for Steve. We had fun watching him try to blow out the trick candles. Steve wanted to spend his birthday on Mirror Lake in the Unitas. Even though the forecast was for rain, we decided to go anyway. We spent a fun day canoeing, fishing and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Cambelle liked the canoe ride for awhile. She didn't like the feel of the life jacket she had to wear. Steve had the magic pole and caught many trout. Of course we had to stop at Granny's on the way home. I've also included photos of the Bonneville Salt Flats we saw on our travels to California.
