not everywhere in my area is rich. this group of shacks is being pushed out of the city for a new apartment. they live across a small river from the most expensive place to live in korea - tower palace - the home of the celebrities. the richest next to poorest. the poster says they are not leaving. up close the compound is very much 3rd world.

My dinner at a member's home. We sat on the floor and ate this boiled squid and 15 potatoes. The squid was whole and the suction cups pop in your mouth.

No Way! I can't believe he ate that squid! That looks like it belongs on Fear Factor!
ah.. yes the old squid and potatos. Actually the squid is looking quite nice and fresh...rather its the potatos semetic spotty covering that worries me most.
Where there left overs? Do Korean dogs eat what you throw them when the members aren't looking?
We had two choices in Ecuador if there was no dog.
1) sneak it into a pre calculated plastic bag in our suit pocket.
2) EcuaFlush. Which is the art of no chewing just swallow as fast as you can.
You are a brave soul Mckay!! I probably would have gagged!
