New Carmel Beach

Friday we went down to the Carmel beach and were amazed that a lot of the sand had been washed away during the storms that have passed through Monterey while we were gone. In one of the photos you can see the stairs going down to the beach.  When I left Monterey in November, sand was all over this area and no rocks were showing and now there is a big hole with rocks on each side,  I didn't know there were rocks below the sand.  We were really shocked to see this new beach.  I talked to several people that live in this area and they said the sand will come back.
