Returning to Braintree

A mini reunion took place in a field of Stebbing Green as Mike read a beautifully written account of William Mclachlan's introduction to the gospel at the Swallow's home. We followed the pathway William would have walked back to his home in Braintree after attending church in Stebbing Green. We spent time trying to pick out which house would have belonged to the Swallows and which house in Braintree might have been the Mclachlans'. We also got a good view of the last home they lived in before the Mclachlans headed off to America. We didn't make the full 5 mile journey, but we did get to a good portion of it - and we felt very blessed to spend some time with the Virginia Schills and see Annilyn one last time before she heads off to Siberia :)
