Bonfire at Del Monte Beach- July 19, 2012

Steve attended a conference at Asilomar and stayed with us.  It was fun to spend some time with him.  I even went with Steve to hear a special talk at the conference about mountain gorillas given by a person who had spent 2000 hours observing gorillas.  It was fun to hear about their behaviors.

We built a bonfire on the Del Monte Beach that is close to our condo. Teej and Noah had fun trying out their Skinboard.  They found out it was pretty difficult to jump on it and ride it across the wet sand. We enjoyed roasting hot dogs and making s'mores. The next night we feasted on clam chowder, buffalo calamari (Steve's favorite) and baby octopus at Fisherman's Wharf.
