Ry, Noah and Teej earn the Iron Bear Award at Camp Chawanakee

Ryan, Teej and Noah start out on their adventure to earn the Iron Bear Award by rowing to the island in the middle of Shaver Lake and sleeping there and at 5AM rowing back to the scout camp. Then they had to run a mile, swim in the cold water to a certain place and back and then act like a bear. (Ryan loved playing the part of a bear.  I wish I had a photo of this part of the challenge).

Everyone is proud to become Iron Bears!

The symbols of the Iron Bear are drawn on the arms of the scouts that earned the award.  They also received an Iron Bear patch.

Iron Bears!

It was great that Noah and Tennyson could experience Camp Chawanakee together.
