Elder Frantz Tour of the Lindon Bishops' Storehouse

It was great to go to the Lindon Bishops' Storehouse and have Elder Frantz give us a tour of this special place. President Monson has said many times how important it is to help the poor and the needy. The Lindon storehouse is one of the largest of the 146 bishops' storehouses throughout the world. It is a dedicated building and you can feel the spirit as you walk through its rooms and think about the time and sacrifice  that members throughout the the country have given to provide the things that stock the shelves of storehouses. I remember Jeff telling me that his ward goes to the church vineyards to pick grapes and put them on paper so they dry in the sun causing them to turn into raisins.

Brian told us that he enjoys the devotionals that are held during the week.  He has the opportunity to help plan and participate at various times. Elder Frantz does a lot of lifting of boxes and stocking the shelves so he comes home tired but has a good feeling knowing he is serving the Lord in one of the most important commandments God has given us, to take care of people who need help.

Thanks, Elder Frantz for giving us such a wonderful tour. It was a special experience.

                                                              Lots of Fresh Produce

The storehouse has big warehouse rooms to store items.  Part of Brian's responsibility is to help stock these shelves.

Brian is opening the freezer room.

It is very cold in this room!

Campbelle and I decided to join Brian so we could have this cold experience.

The Gallery of Photos on the Break Room Wall

This is Brian's favorite photo on the wall.

Brian treated us to a glass of cold chocolate milk. It was so delicious!

This room is where everyone takes breaks and eats their lunch.

                                                               The Trash Compactor

Refrigerator room where perishable food is stored.

Brian explaining the list to Campbelle. I can't remember what is on these pieces of paper.

The Bishop's storehouse has a lot of wonderful food. Thanks Elder Frantz for the great tour. We are proud of you and the service you are giving to help many people have their needs met.
