A Late Happy Birthday to Tennyson J.

We wanted to say Happy Birthday to our Teej. We haven't had internet for a while...and now that we do, we wanted to say Happy Birthday! The R2D2 cake was Tennyson's big request. Needless to say, it's unfortunate that it pales in comparison to the gem Mom Schill made back in the day, but I love Teej so much that I am willing to subject myself to such humiliation:-) After all, it's for Teej - and his smile and gratitude were priceless! Tennyson had a great birthday and was so relieved that it was finally his turn (so were the rest of us)! We adore Tennyson and the joy and sparkle (and monkeyness) that he adds to our lives. (You'll have to ask Teej what else that big gorilla did besides pose for a picture with him! :-)

Steve's Birthday 2008

A few days before the 6th of August, Jen's family came to Orem and brought a huge birthday cake for Steve. We had fun watching him try to blow out the trick candles. Steve wanted to spend his birthday on Mirror Lake in the Unitas. Even though the forecast was for rain, we decided to go anyway. We spent a fun day canoeing, fishing and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Cambelle liked the canoe ride for awhile. She didn't like the feel of the life jacket she had to wear. Steve had the magic pole and caught many trout. Of course we had to stop at Granny's on the way home. I've also included photos of the Bonneville Salt Flats we saw on our travels to California.

Welcome Home

We had a wonderful visit with Rob and Missy and the girls on our way back to Utah at the end of our mission..

It was such a wonderful surprise to have so many family members on the lawn as we drove into our drieway . Thanks Julie for making the big welcome home sign. It was great to read all the messages that the family members had written on it. We really appreciated all our family's love and support while we were on our mission.
