In response to all those who have expressed concern over whether we rea
lly survived our big spring break outback drive-about, Mike has managed to figure out how to post a blog entry. About time!
We learned that Australia is big and wide open. Imagine the Western US (west of the Mississippi) with no freeways and only a handful of towns the largest of which is the size of American Fork. The Australian Outback is seriously wide open but we found to be filled with many fascinating and interesting things to experience. In the end we all enjoyed our 6000K camper drive from Melbourne to Darwin, and even more the flight home! Love to all. Mike

MaryAnn,it was fascinating to read your letter to Lynnie and to learn about the outback. What an Indiana Jones experience for you and your family! I'm glad you found enough gas stations to keep you rolling. I enjoyed looking at all your neat photos. You now qualify as Aussies.
What an incredible experience. It was so fun to read all about it.
