Dear Family,
I loved your letters. I know that you are following and directed by the spirit in your letters because they pertain exactly to the things I am undergoing at this time. Mom’s thoughts and ensign article are great. Dad’s feelings on missionary work were also very pertinent to my feelings. I have come to see how much the Lord really directs our paths. I often times I look back on an experience and realize the Lord’s hand was with out a doubt involved. I recently reread in Preach my gospel that it should be our earnest desire to obtain the spirit with us at all times. I re-evaluated myself and found that I needed to make my ongoing desire more earnest. President Burton in a recent interview suggested that we increase our faith in finding people. We specifically applied this to our finding techniques. I discovered success that I have not seen for a few weeks. Many miracles have occurred that have come about because of constant earnest work with the hope and faith that results will come. By setting smaller short term goals we have seen our goals fulfilled and have more readily seen the Lord’s will. I specifically want to mention one miracle. Last night, after a whole day of setting small goals and trying to find a new investigator, we found ourselves with 10mins left of the day and no new investigator. We had just finished knocking many doors without success and were headed home. We diligently tried to get people’s numbers all day but had no one give them to us; all said they would call us. But we had set a goal to find someone and had the faith we could. We got back faster than expected and began talking to people on benches in our apartment complex. They had little interest at 8:45pm. So we continued to search. I had a constant prayer in my heart the whole time and was not going to give-up because I knew the Lord could answer our prayers. I asked the Lord where he wanted us to go. “I want to follow your will. I don’t see anyone. But when I do I will go. Lord, we have faith,” I thought. Then a college age looking kid walked up the stairs to the parking lot right in front of us. Elder Walters introduced himself first and we began talking, asking him asking about his day. He said he was at english institute and was studying for a test. We said we could help. He gave us his number and wants to meet on Saturday at 6pm. He even told us his exact address. Then an old drunk man started yelling at us and said we were another church and started talking bad about us. We told him we weren’t 하나님의 church and moved away. The kid was a little weirded out but checked our tags and asked when church was. He said he hadn’t been in a long time. He was unusually kind. We confirmed for sat. and said goodbye. Call it coincidence but I think it was much more than that. My prayer was answered. I hope grad. is good. Sad to miss my lil sis’s grad. The seminary grad song sounds amazing. Thanks for sharing your talents and working so hard to develop them. Hunter and karsy are tall. Wow! Do people know about my website in the ward? I hope they can read it because I have little time to write them. For example: The leflers, do they know about it? Maybe you can put the site location on the wall at church by the plaque. I love u all. Thanks.I sent a package and another letter with my camera card should come soon. I have a fan but it only does so much. Sweets good for me anyway. Been sick sinus infection, got a refill on some allergy meds faxed to a pharmacy. But all is well. Oh, and I met a man form sri lanka who wants to come to church as well.
Love u, miss u, bye
Elder britsch
